PRINT TEMPLATES:

Please read the information below before downloading.

First of all... you don't need to use these templates to send us your designs. We will happily accept images and text in any of the formats listed on the item description pages or you can check our information on image sizes and formats. For simple layouts you can just email us the details. If you'd like to send us a full design ready for printing you can either set up your file according to the Design Specifications or you can download the templates from this page. You can use the jpg templates to check that your images are large enough for printing.

These are blank templates with guides so that you can make sure your layout fits our printing specs. There are a set of templates for Business cards, a set for Postcards and Greetings cards (Postcards and Greetings cards both use the same template) and a set for mugs.

The templates are available in .cpt format (for Corel Photopaint 7/8 or above) and .psd format (for Photoshop and Photoshop Elements). You will need to have access to the relevant software in order to use the templates and you should understand how to use layers. These are zip files to keep the download size smaller so you'll also need WinZip or equivalent.

There are also jpeg versions of the templates - we've added these to help you check the size of any images that you'd like to have printed. You should be able to use these in any graphics package - but please note that the jpeg versions do not contain printing guidelines and should be used along with the Design Specifications to make sure that your text and images don't fall outside the safe printing regions.

When sending your finished design please keep the layers intact just in case anything needs to be altered (obviously we'll let you know before we change anything!). Please send your file in the same format as the download - .cpt and .psd files produce the best results. If you are using the jpeg template please don't compress the file before you send it as you'll lose too much quality. The maximum file size is 8 MB.

If you have a slow internet connection and can't send a large print file you can send us your file on CD instead.

Lastly... if you have any problems downloading the templates please use our email contact form for assistance. We're sorry, but our telephone staff can't give you technical support on the use of your graphics package!

Mug templates cover the normal printable area of the mug - this will take your image to about 0.5cm from the top and bottom of the mug and about 2-2.5cm from the handle on each side. Full top-to-bottom printing can be accomodated in some cases (depending on the image) If you wish to do this please contact us through the enquiry form before ordering. If you want a full top-to-bottom wraparound mug print your image can be up to 20x9cm - however please note that in this case you must allow a bleed area of an additional 0.5cm at the top and bottom to allow correct positioning on the mug.
